Getting Started

Q:What is Bloxxle?

Bloxxle is a free-to-play online block puzzle game developed by 2Spicy Entertainment GmbH. The game challenges you to place various shaped blocks on an 8×8 grid, clearing rows and columns to score points. It combines strategic thinking with spatial reasoning in a relaxing yet competitive format.

Bloxxle runs directly in your web browser — no download or installation required. It works on desktop computers, tablets, and smartphones. You can also install it as a Progressive Web App (PWA) for a native app-like experience on your home screen.

Q:Is Bloxxle free to play?

Yes, Bloxxle is completely free to play. All game modes, including Classic, Power-Up, Endless, Time Attack, Adventure, and Multiplayer, are available without any payment. There are no paywalls, no energy systems, and no mandatory advertisements that block gameplay.

Bloxxle features an in-game cosmetic shop where you can spend earned coins on block skins, board themes, and visual effects. These are purely cosmetic and do not affect gameplay. Coins are earned through regular play — completing games, winning matches, daily login rewards, and completing missions.

Q:Do I need to create an account?

No, you can play Bloxxle without creating an account. Guest players can access Solo Mode and even Multiplayer matches. However, creating an account (free via email magic link or Google sign-in) unlocks additional features: your scores are saved to the global leaderboard, you can track your statistics and achievements, participate in events, add friends, and your progress syncs across devices.

Account creation takes less than 30 seconds. Enter your email address, receive a 6-digit verification code, and you are in. No password required — we use a secure magic link system for authentication.

Q:What devices and browsers are supported?

Bloxxle works on any modern web browser including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, and Opera. It is optimized for both desktop and mobile devices. On mobile, the game supports touch controls with drag-and-drop and tap-to-place mechanics.

For the best experience on mobile, we recommend installing Bloxxle as a PWA (Progressive Web App). On iOS, open bloxxle.com in Safari, tap the Share button, and select 'Add to Home Screen'. On Android, Chrome will prompt you to install the app automatically. The PWA version runs in full screen and loads faster than the browser version.

Gameplay

Q:How does the scoring system work?

Points are earned from two sources: block placement and line clearing. Each block placed earns points equal to the number of cells it covers (a 4-cell block earns 4 points). Clearing a complete row or column awards 10 bonus points per line.

The real scoring power comes from multipliers. Clearing multiple lines simultaneously multiplies your bonus (2 lines = 2× multiplier, 3 lines = 3×, etc.). Additionally, clearing lines on consecutive block placements builds a combo streak that further multiplies your score. Top players achieve scores above 10,000 by maintaining long combo streaks and setting up multi-line clears.

Q:What happens when the game ends?

The game ends when none of your available blocks can be placed anywhere on the grid. At this point, a game-over screen appears showing your final score, lines cleared, blocks placed, time played, and any achievements you unlocked during the game. You also see how much XP and coins you earned.

If you set a new personal best score, a special celebration animation plays. Your score is automatically saved to the leaderboard (if you are logged in), and you can immediately start a new game or return to the home screen.

Q:Can I undo a move?

Yes, Bloxxle includes an undo feature. In Classic mode, you receive 3 free undos per game. Each undo reverses your last block placement, returning the block to your available pieces and restoring the grid to its previous state. Additional undos can be purchased with in-game coins.

Note that undos are not available in Multiplayer matches or Time Attack mode, as these modes are designed to test your real-time decision-making without second chances.

Q:What are the different game modes?

Bloxxle offers seven distinct game modes: Classic (no time limit, chase your highscore), Power-Up (classic with Bomb and Joker Block abilities), Endless (progressive difficulty, no game over from unfittable blocks), Time Attack (score as much as possible in 60/90/120 seconds), Adventure (100+ levels across 10 themed worlds with objectives), Multiplayer (real-time matches against other players), and Daily Challenge (same puzzle for all players each day).

Each mode offers a unique experience. Classic is the core Bloxxle experience and the mode that counts for the global leaderboard. Adventure is great for players who prefer structured progression. Multiplayer is where competitive players test their skills against others.

Q:How do power-ups work?

Power-ups are available in Power-Up Mode. Two power-ups exist: the Bomb clears a 3×3 area on the grid (9 cells), and the Joker Block fills any single empty cell. Power-ups charge up as you clear lines during gameplay.

To use a power-up, tap its icon and then tap the target cell on the grid. The Bomb will clear the 3×3 area centered on the cell you tap. The Joker Block will fill the single cell you tap. Strategic use of power-ups can save you from game-over situations or set up massive multi-line clears.

Multiplayer

Q:How does multiplayer work?

In multiplayer mode, you compete against other players in real-time. All players in a match receive the exact same sequence of blocks, making it a pure test of skill. Matches last 2 minutes, and the player with the highest score when time runs out wins.

You can start a match in three ways: Quick Match (matched with a random opponent), VS Bot (play against an AI at your skill level), or Invite Friend (share a link that your friend can click to join). Multiplayer supports 2, 3, or 4 players per match.

Q:What happens if my opponent gets a game over?

If your opponent runs out of valid moves and gets a game over, you continue playing. You win the match as soon as your score surpasses your opponent's final score. If you also get a game over with a lower score, your opponent wins. The match ends immediately when the outcome is determined — there is no need to wait for the full 2-minute timer.

Q:Can I play multiplayer without an account?

Yes, guest players can participate in multiplayer matches. You will be assigned a temporary guest name. However, wins and statistics from guest matches are not saved to the leaderboard. Creating a free account allows your multiplayer results to be tracked and displayed on the global rankings.

Account & Progress

Q:How do I log in?

Bloxxle uses a passwordless login system for maximum security and convenience. Enter your email address on the login page, and you will receive a 6-digit verification code via email. Enter the code in the app to log in. No password to remember or manage.

You can also sign in with your Google account for one-tap login. Both methods create the same account — if you sign up with email and later sign in with Google using the same email address, you will access the same account.

Q:How do XP and levels work?

Every game you play earns XP (experience points). Solo games award 10 base XP plus 2 XP per line cleared and 5 XP per combo. Multiplayer wins award 50 XP, and losses award 15 XP. As you accumulate XP, your player level increases from Level 1 to Level 100.

Leveling up unlocks cosmetic rewards and serves as a measure of your overall engagement with Bloxxle. Your level is displayed on your profile and in the game header alongside your skill tier badge.

Q:Can I delete my account?

Yes, you can delete your account at any time from the Profile page under Account Settings. Account deletion is permanent and removes all your data including scores, match history, achievements, and cosmetic purchases. This complies with GDPR Article 17 (Right to Erasure). After deletion, you can create a new account with the same email address, but your previous progress will not be recoverable.

Technical

Q:Does Bloxxle work offline?

Yes, Bloxxle supports offline play through its Progressive Web App (PWA) technology. Once you have visited the site and the service worker has cached the necessary files, you can play Solo Mode without an internet connection. Your scores will be saved locally and synced to the server when you reconnect.

Multiplayer and leaderboard features require an internet connection, as they involve real-time communication with other players and the game server.

Q:How does Bloxxle handle my data and privacy?

We take privacy seriously. Bloxxle collects only the data necessary to provide the game service: your email address (for login), display name, game scores, and match history. We do not sell your data to third parties.

We use Google Analytics for anonymous usage statistics and Google AdSense for advertising. Both services are subject to our GDPR-compliant cookie consent system — you can choose which cookies to accept when you first visit the site, and you can change your preferences at any time from your Profile page. For full details, please read our Privacy Policy.

Q:I found a bug. How do I report it?

We appreciate bug reports from our community! You can report bugs directly in the game by clicking 'Report Bug' in the footer of the home page. The bug report form allows you to describe the issue, select a severity level, and optionally attach a screenshot.

Our development team reviews all bug reports and prioritizes fixes based on severity and impact. Critical bugs that affect gameplay are typically fixed within 24-48 hours.
